William Timmons, a successful local businessman and former prosecutor running for U.S. Congress, is airing his first television advertisement today. Timmons’ new television ad details his conservative message of reform in Washington, D.C. and features his strong support for Congressional term limits. He is seeking to fill the Fourth District Congressional seat now held by Trey Gowdy, who will retire after four terms. Timmons explains his background as a successful upstate small business owner, former prosecutor and reformer. As State Senator, Timmons recently led passage of a bill to end any loopholes that would delay South Carolina’s death penalty sentences and just last week led the effort to successfully pass a bill banning Sanctuary Cities in the state. During his first year in office, Senator Timmons also introduced comprehensive term limits and ethics reform legislation. "As your next Congressman, I’ll take the lead and fight for you and our conservative principles. That's why I support term limits, President Trump's plan to build the wall, and cutting out of control spending,” said Timmons.
